Our Story
Jon’s Tree Service, LLC, was established in 2018 and currently operates out of the Elmira, NY area. All of our employees have between 3-12 years of experience and work together as a well-trained, highly effective team. Our goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and safety for the homeowner and crew through our affordable tree service.
As a fully insured company owned by an experienced arborist, our expertise includes major after-storm cleanup and recovery, tree removal with and without crane operations, stump grinding and much more. Additionally, we specialize in climbing techniques that allow us to operate safely and swiftly in situations that prohibit the use of the company bucket truck. Jon’s Tree Service also tackles large projects such as land clearing services for solar companies and construction sites.
The well-being of our community is one of our company’s core values. In response to the humanitarian need of 2022’s Hurricane Ian, Jon’s Tree Service traveled from NY to Fort Myers, FL, to serve the people in that community. It was our privilege to help the hurricane victims by pulling fallen trees off of houses, helping people regain access to their driveways, removing fallen trees and debris from yards, pools, and parking lots. We assisted a church in Englewood so that it could become an emergency aid center. We also assisted homeowners in Lakeland and many who were in need in Fort Myers, where we spent most of our time.

Our Mission
One memorable Fort Myers story was that of a pine tree which had fallen through the roof of a family’s home. Due to severe flooding in the area, a crane was not available to remove the tree. But that didn’t stop us! Our crew was determined to help this family. So we devised a makeshift crane using available materials and were able to complete the project.
Jon’s Tree Service utilizes a broad array of tree removal equipment, including a small articulating loader and a mini skid steer allowing us to deal with big challenges in small spaces. These specialized pieces of equipment allow Jon’s Tree Service to get into tight spaces where other tree services cannot and to safely and efficiently take down the best of trees. We also have a 65-foot bucket truck, as well as a top-of-the-line bandit 1890 woodchipper that can devour anything up to 20 inches in diameter.
